In 1890 Josef Hamann opened up his leather goods business in Munich’s Glockenbach district. Beside articles for the shoe industry the small workshop manufactured robust leather clothing for the first drivers and motorcyclists. In 1947 the company traded under the name of ROX. In the following decades ROX established itself as a manufacturer of high quality branded products with made-to-measure multipurpose cases and camera cases. Practically all the major camera manufacturers had their cases made by ROX. As of 1975 ROX concentrated on developing and implementing modern industrial production processes. In the meantime the development and production of luggage systems for motorbikes and cars are just as much core activities of the company as the manufacture of cases and bags for professional use. ![]() |
